Peter has been a yacht racing enthusiast for many years and has owned and raced boats large and small. He has been associated with the Foundation as board member and advisor, and was the architect of the Foundation’s investment strategies. Peter has over 20 years of experience as a technology industry entrepreneur and executive and an investment banker specializing in M&A transactions for technology companies. Mr. Stoneberg joined Bank of America (formerly Montgomery Securities) to create and lead the Technology M&A practice. During his tenure his team completed 94 M&A transactions totaling over $12 billion in transaction value. Subsequently, as Senior Managing Director, his team completed notable IPOs and follow on offerings. Earlier, he was a key executive for several boutique investment banks and high tech companies. Peter is Commodore of the St. Francis Yacht Club. He received a Bachelor of Science degree in Business from the University of Colorado at Boulder.
